BRYANT is built upon original ideas, personal creativity and intentional design guided by P.BRYANT's direction.
Although we have no obligation to disclose this information, transparency around our use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our creative process is important to us. We understand that some are opposed to it's involvement in creative processes.
P.BRYANT believes that as part of their creative process AI is a net-benefit. It allows for an extended reach of research and refinement in creative concepts.
Most creative processes to conceive BRYANT has involved AI is some way. For example, the very original label concept design for our 'CANDLE OF QUIET COMFORT' was generated by AI inside Canva:
However, as many might understand from using generative AI, the prompt is entirely guided from a person. The image is a result of an original sense of direction from P.BRYANT, not a carelessly chosen AI image that was suggested. Beyond this original concept image, the complete design of the label has been meticulously designed by P.BRYANT. AI may have been used at stages to receive advice using their image recognition technology to compare it to other designs inside it's data-base and generate a coherent list of feedback. The current label designs have been built by P.BRYANT from scratch using inspiration from AI's feedback, and humans too.
(You may even notice that the original concept was a statement "OF SUPERIOR QUALITY", since refined to establish the true intentions of P.BRYANT's vision for representing "The quiet comfort in having nowhere else to be", which as a phrase was written by AI after an elaborate and extensive number of hours of back and forth dialog in refining the wording to represent accurately to every word the exact feeling inside P.BRYANT's mind. The phrase is a collaboration between a human and AI.)
Other areas in which AI may have been used is in establishing fragrance names. For example, the original concepts begun with an idea from a human and elaborated into viable options using AI generated suggestions. However, all final names and their wording has been selected by P.BRYANT. At times AI may have even disagreed with these decisions (like when it wanted to change "Warm Cinders" to "Warm Embers", it thought 'embers' was a safer word). This emphasises how P.BRYANT is guiding the final creative decisions, not AI.
Another area in which AI may have been used for writing purposes is in larger pieces, such as the "BRYANT's Vision" weblog. During a creative writing block, AI generated an original structure. Since then, the final piece of writing has been written by P.BRYANT. Original sentences and phrases generated by AI may still be present but the much larger majority of the weblog has been written by P.BRYANT (a rough guess would be ~95% of it has been written by a human).
It was important to P.BRYANT that it's monogram design (a stamp of his own work) was made entirely by themselves, which holds as being true:
Every mark of this stamp is a result of human design, craftmanship, and placement. It represents the piece of the creative process that is guided by a human.
It is important to BRYANT that humans guide the creative process and make the final decisions.
AI is used as a tool, not as a decision maker.
And most importantly of all, every product made by BRYANT has been handmade, by humans.
Signed Sincerely,
P.BRYANT
